Shell started her career in Vail, Colorado before returning to the south eleven years ago and settling in Bluffton, South Carolina. Her residential and commercial design work reaches outside the Lowcountry to Tahoe, Cabo, Telluride, Phoenix, Martha’s Vineyard, Chicago and New Jersey.

After working for other design firms for over a decade, Shell decided to start Studio South Designs to reflect her design vision and values. “Interior Design should reflect your personality, lifestyle and individuality. My goal is to help you achieve your design aspirations, ensuring they accurately represent you. The name, ‘Studio South’ embodies attention to detail and a sense of refinement, which I believe is essential in creating a warm and inviting home or business that speaks to your unique personality.”

Shell Neely holds a BS in Interior Design from Mississippi College and a MA in Interior Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. She is a licensed NCIDQ Interior Designer and currently resides in Bluffton, SC with her husband and three children.
